Description
Rainbow Jello is a vibrant, layered gelatin dessert made with colorful fruit-flavored Jello and creamy white layers. Perfect for parties and holidays, it’s a fun, eye-catching treat that both kids and adults love.
Ingredients
- 6 boxes (3 oz each) assorted flavored Jello (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple)
- 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 6 cups boiling water (1 cup per Jello layer)
- 3 cups cold water (1/2 cup per Jello layer)
- 1/2 cup cold water (for gelatin mixture)
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water (for gelatin mixture)
- Nonstick spray (for greasing the dish)
Instructions
- Lightly spray a 9×13-inch dish with nonstick spray.
- Prepare the first Jello color: mix one 3-ounce box of flavored Jello with 1 cup boiling water, stir until dissolved, then add 1/2 cup cold water. Pour half of this mixture into the dish and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes until set.
- While it sets, prepare the cream layer: dissolve 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water. Add 1 1/2 cups boiling water and stir until dissolved. Stir in sweetened condensed milk and let cool to room temperature.
- After the first Jello layer sets, pour about 1/4 cup of the cream mixture over it. Refrigerate for 10–15 minutes until just set.
- Repeat steps 2–4 with the remaining Jello colors, alternating with cream layers, making sure each layer is set before adding the next.
- Once all layers are completed, refrigerate the dish for at least 2 hours or until fully set.
- Slice and serve chilled. Clean knife between cuts for neat slices.
