Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cold and cut into cubes)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (for topping)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (for topping)
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt.
- Cut in cold butter using a pastry cutter or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
- Pour in milk and stir just until the dough comes together—do not overmix.
- Drop heaping spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown.
- While baking, melt butter and mix with garlic powder.
- Brush warm biscuits with garlic butter mixture and sprinkle with dried parsley.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
