¾ cup soft caramel candies (unwrapped) or thick caramel sauce

1 cup pretzels, roughly crushed

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

Spread half of the brownie batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
