Description

Salted Honey Pie is a silky, custard-like dessert baked in a flaky crust, combining the natural sweetness of honey with a touch of flaky sea salt for perfect balance. Elegant yet simple, it’s ideal for holidays, dinner parties, or a cozy night in.


Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornmeal
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar or lemon juice
  • 3 large eggs
  • Flaky sea salt, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll out pie crust and fit into a 9-inch pie dish. Crimp edges and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk melted butter, sugar, cornmeal, and salt until smooth.
  4. Add honey, heavy cream, vanilla, vinegar or lemon juice, and eggs. Whisk until fully combined.
  5. Pour filling into prepared crust.
  6. Bake 45–55 minutes, until the center is just set with a slight jiggle.
  7. Cool completely on a wire rack, then sprinkle with flaky sea salt before serving.

Notes

Use a medium-flavored honey like wildflower or clover for balanced sweetness.For gluten-free, use a gluten-free crust.Add citrus zest or warm spices for extra flavor.
