Description

Skillet Garlic Butter Steak and Shrimp is the ultimate surf and turf dish, featuring juicy, tender steak paired with perfectly seared shrimp, all enveloped in a rich, garlicky butter sauce. Quick and simple, yet indulgent, this dish is perfect for any occasion where you want to impress.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless ribeye steaks (or your preferred cut of steak)
  • 8 large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme)

  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary (or 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Season both sides of the steaks with salt, pepper, and half of the thyme and rosemary.

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer if desired. Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside to rest.

  • In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic, remaining thyme, and rosemary. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  • Add the shrimp to the skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes per side, until they are pink and opaque. Season with salt and pepper.

  • Return the steaks to the skillet, spoon some garlic butter over the top, and let them rest for a minute or two.

  • Garnish with chopped parsley and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice if desired. Serve immediately.
