Ingredients

  • 2 cans smoked oysters, drained

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 tablespoon white miso paste

  • 1 teaspoon sriracha (adjust to taste)

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • 1 small garlic clove, minced

  • 1 teaspoon honey

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives

  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • Toasted baguette slices or crackers, for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Arrange drained smoked oysters in a small oven-safe dish or individual ramekins.

  • In a bowl, mix softened butter, white miso paste, sriracha, lemon juice, garlic, honey, chives, and black pepper until smooth.

  • Spoon the spicy miso butter evenly over the oysters.

  • Bake for 8–10 minutes until butter is melted and bubbling.

  • Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly.

  • Serve warm with toasted baguette slices or crackers

Notes

White miso works best for its mild, slightly sweet flavor.Adjust sriracha to control spice level. For a lightly browned top, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end (watch carefully).Keep oysters well coated with butter to prevent drying out.Add a drizzle of sesame oil for deeper flavor complexity.
