Ingredients
- Beef (thinly sliced, such as flank or sirloin)
- Cornstarch
- Vegetable oil
- Garlic (minced)
- Ginger (minced)
- Hoisin sauce
- Soy sauce
- Brown sugar or honey
- Rice vinegar
- Sesame oil
- Black pepper
- Green onions (sliced)
- Sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Toss sliced beef with cornstarch until lightly coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add beef in a single layer and sear until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Stir in hoisin sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar or honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and black pepper.
- Let the sauce simmer until slightly thickened.
- Return beef to the pan and toss to coat evenly.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes until heated through and glossy.
