Description

A refreshing layered drink made with sweet strawberry purée, creamy milk, and earthy matcha green tea. This café-style beverage is visually stunning and delicious, offering fruity sweetness balanced with the smooth, slightly bitter taste of matcha.

  • 23 tablespoons sugar or honey (to taste)
  • 2 cups milk of choice (dairy or plant-based)
  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Blend strawberries with sugar or honey until smooth. Optionally, simmer for 5–7 minutes in a small saucepan to thicken slightly, then let cool.
  2. Whisk matcha powder with hot water until smooth and frothy.
  3. Spoon strawberry purée into the bottom of a glass.
  4. Add ice cubes on top of the strawberry layer.
  5. Slowly pour in milk over the ice to create the second layer.
  6. Gently pour the prepared matcha over the milk for the top layer.
  7. Stir before drinking and enjoy.
