Ingredients
- 12 Medjool dates, pitted
- 1/4 cup soft cheese (goat cheese or cream cheese)
- 12 whole nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1/4 tsp sea salt (optional)
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon or smoked paprika (optional)
- Fresh herbs (such as chives or parsley, optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Slice each date lengthwise on one side and carefully remove the pit.
- Fill the cavity of each date with about 1 teaspoon of soft cheese or nut butter.
- Press a whole nut into the center of the filling for crunch.
- For sweet versions, drizzle with honey or maple syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon or sea salt if desired.
- Serve immediately at room temperature or warm in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 5–10 minutes if desired.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving, if using.
