Description

Swiss Chicken Bake is a creamy, cheesy casserole featuring tender chicken breasts layered with Swiss cheese, a savory sauce, and a buttery stuffing or breadcrumb topping. It’s a cozy, crowd-pleasing dish perfect for weeknight dinners or family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 46 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 cups stuffing mix or seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Place chicken breasts in the dish and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.
  3. Layer Swiss cheese slices evenly over the chicken breasts.
  4. In a bowl, combine cream of chicken soup and sour cream until smooth.
  5. Spread the soup mixture evenly over the cheese-covered chicken.
  6. Sprinkle the dry stuffing mix or breadcrumbs evenly over the top.
  7. Drizzle melted butter over the stuffing layer.
  8. Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C) and the top is golden brown.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
