This air fryer fish recipe delivers crispy, golden fillets with a tender interior—all without deep frying. It’s quick, healthy, and perfect for weeknight meals, using minimal oil and simple pantry ingredients.
Ingredients
- 4 white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, haddock, etc.)
- Olive oil or cooking spray
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels.
- Set up a dredging station with three bowls: one with flour mixed with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder; one with beaten eggs; and one with panko breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each fish fillet in the seasoned flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Lightly spray or brush both sides of the coated fillets with cooking spray or olive oil.
- Place the fish fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding.
- Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the coating is golden brown and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.
