Description

This Two-Ingredient Banana Peanut Butter Ice Cream is a creamy, naturally sweet frozen dessert made with just bananas and peanut butter. Dairy-free, vegan, and incredibly easy to make, this healthy banana ice cream blends into a smooth soft-serve texture that’s perfect for a quick snack or refreshing dessert.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced and frozen

  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and slice them into small rounds.

  2. Arrange the banana slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 2–3 hours, or until completely frozen.

  3. Place the frozen banana slices in a blender or food processor.

  4. Blend until the bananas begin to break down and become creamy. Stop occasionally to scrape down the sides if needed.

  5. Add the peanut butter and continue blending until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.

  6. Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture, or transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 1–2 hours for a firmer ice cream consistency.

Notes

Very ripe bananas with brown spots work best because they are naturally sweeter. If the mixture looks crumbly at first, continue blending—it will soon become smooth and creamy.A food processor typically produces the creamiest texture, but a strong blender also works. For easier scooping after freezing, let the ice cream sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes.
