Description
Valentine’s Pretzel Rods are festive, chocolate-dipped pretzels decorated with colorful sprinkles and candy for the perfect sweet-and-salty Valentine’s Day treat. Easy to make and fun to decorate, they’re great for gifting or serving at parties.
Ingredients
- 20 pretzel rods
- 1 cup white chocolate chips or white candy melts
- 1/2 cup pink and/or red candy melts (or white chocolate tinted with food coloring)
- Valentine-themed sprinkles
- Optional: crushed candy, mini chocolate chips, or freeze-dried fruit
- Optional: 1–2 tsp coconut oil or shortening (to thin chocolate if needed)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper and set aside.
- Melt white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
- If using food coloring, divide the white chocolate and tint portions pink or red.
- Dip each pretzel rod about halfway into the melted chocolate and gently tap off the excess.
- Immediately decorate with sprinkles, crushed candy, or drizzle with contrasting melted chocolate colors.
- Lay decorated pretzels on the prepared baking sheet.
- Allow pretzels to set at room temperature, or refrigerate for 15–20 minutes to speed up the process.
- Once fully set, store or package as desired.
