Description

Walking Tacos with Fritos are a fun, easy, and mess-free meal where taco ingredients are served directly in individual chip bags. Perfect for parties, quick dinners, or feeding a crowd, they’re fully customizable with your favorite toppings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey or plant-based alternative)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 68 small (1–2 oz) bags of Fritos corn chips
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup diced onions
  • Sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • 1/2 cup salsa or taco sauce
  • Guacamole or sliced avocado (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until fully browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add taco seasoning and water to the meat. Simmer for about 5 minutes or according to package directions.
  3. While the meat simmers, gently crush each unopened bag of Fritos slightly to break chips into smaller pieces.
  4. Open each bag and fold down the top for easier access.
  5. Spoon about 1/3 to 1/2 cup of taco meat into each bag of chips.
  6. Let everyone add their favorite toppings such as lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, and more.
  7. Serve immediately with a fork and enjoy straight from the bag.

Notes
