Description

This beef and broccoli fried rice is a quick and flavorful one-pan meal made with tender beef, crisp broccoli, and savory seasoned rice. Perfect for busy weeknights, it’s a delicious way to turn simple ingredients into a satisfying, restaurant-style dish at home.


Ingredients

  • Cooked rice (preferably day-old)
  • Beef, thinly sliced
  • Broccoli florets
  • Olive oil or sesame oil
  • Garlic, minced
  • Ginger, grated
  • Soy sauce
  • Oyster sauce
  • Eggs
  • Green onions, chopped
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Optional:

  • Chili flakes
  • Sesame seeds
  • Carrots
  • Bell peppers

Instructions

  • Heat a large pan or wok over medium-high heat and add oil.
  • Add sliced beef and cook quickly until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add more oil if needed and sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  • Add broccoli and cook for a few minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Push vegetables to one side, crack in the eggs, and scramble until cooked.
  • Add cooked rice, breaking up clumps, and stir to combine.
  • Return beef to the pan and add soy sauce and oyster sauce. Stir well to coat.
  • Cook for a few minutes until heated through and flavors are absorbed.
  • Stir in green onions and season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds or chili flakes if desired.

Notes

Day-old rice works best for a non-sticky texture.Cook over high heat for authentic fried rice flavor.Add a splash of soy sauce or water when reheating if needed.
