Ingredients
- Ground beef
- Pasta (such as elbow macaroni or shells)
- Onion, chopped
- Garlic, minced
- Tomato sauce
- Ketchup
- Mustard
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Cheddar cheese, shredded
- Mozzarella cheese (optional)
- Milk or cream
- Eggs
- Pickle slices (optional)
- Fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk together milk (or cream) and eggs.
- Combine cooked pasta with beef mixture and half of the cheddar cheese.
- Transfer to baking dish and pour egg mixture evenly over the top.
- Sprinkle remaining cheddar and mozzarella (if using) on top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until set and cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly, then garnish with pickles and parsley if desired. Serve warm.
