Description

Cheeseburger Casserole is a hearty, family-friendly baked pasta dish loaded with seasoned ground beef, tender pasta, and gooey melted cheese. This easy comfort food recipe brings all the classic cheeseburger flavors into one delicious, make-ahead meal perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • Ground beef
  • Pasta (such as elbow macaroni or shells)
  • Onion, chopped
  • Garlic, minced
  • Tomato sauce
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Mozzarella cheese (optional)
  • Milk or cream
  • Eggs
  • Pickle slices (optional)
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  • Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Drain excess grease.
  • Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes.
  • In a bowl, whisk together milk (or cream) and eggs.
  • Combine cooked pasta with beef mixture and half of the cheddar cheese.
  • Transfer to baking dish and pour egg mixture evenly over the top.
  • Sprinkle remaining cheddar and mozzarella (if using) on top.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes until set and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let cool slightly, then garnish with pickles and parsley if desired. Serve warm.

Do not overcook pasta—it will continue cooking in the oven.Drain excess grease from beef to avoid a greasy casserole.Add a splash of milk when reheating to keep it creamy.Let the casserole rest before slicing for cleaner portions.
