Description

Homemade Toasted Muesli is a crunchy, wholesome breakfast made with oats, nuts, seeds, and dried fruits, lightly sweetened and baked until golden. This easy muesli recipe is perfect for meal prep, offering a nutritious, customizable, and delicious start to your day.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, or cashews, roughly chopped)
  • 1/2 cup seeds (sunflower or pumpkin seeds)
  • 1/2 cup coconut flakes
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil or coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, or chopped apricots)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 160°C (320°F) and line a large baking tray with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine oats, nuts, seeds, coconut flakes, cinnamon, and salt.
  • In a small bowl, mix honey or maple syrup with oil and vanilla extract.
  • Pour wet mixture over dry ingredients and stir until evenly coated.
  • Spread mixture evenly onto the prepared tray.
  • Bake for 20–30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden and toasted.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, stir in dried fruits.
  • Store in an airtight container.

Notes

Stir halfway through baking for even toasting.Add dried fruits only after cooling to prevent them from hardening.Adjust sweetness to taste by reducing or increasing syrup.
