- ¾ cup (95g) flour
- ½ cup (100g) sugar
- ½ cup (115g) cold butter (cubed)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake pan.
- Prepare the crumble: mix flour, sugar, and butter with your fingers until crumbly. Set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until light and creamy.
- Add melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and lemon zest; mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring until smooth.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Arrange apple slices on top, gently pressing them into the batter.
