Description

This peaches and meringue dessert is a light, elegant treat combining juicy fresh peaches with crisp, airy meringue. Perfect for summer, this easy peaches and meringue recipe delivers a refreshing balance of sweetness and texture for a simple yet sophisticated dessert.


Ingredients

  • 34 fresh peaches, sliced
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 150g (3/4 cup) granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 120°C (250°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a clean bowl, beat egg whites with salt until soft peaks form.
  • Gradually add sugar while beating until stiff, glossy peaks form.
  • Mix in lemon juice and vanilla extract.
  • Spoon or pipe meringue into small nests or rounds on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 1–1.5 hours until dry, then turn off oven and let cool completely inside.
  • Slice peaches into wedges.
  • To serve, place meringues on plates and top with peaches.
  • Add whipped cream if desired and serve immediately.
