Ingredients

  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (200g) sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ cup (120ml) melted butter or oil
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 12 cups whipped cream or frosting
  • Chocolate Easter eggs (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add melted butter (or oil), milk, and vanilla extract; mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring until smooth.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool completely.
  9. Spread whipped cream or frosting evenly over the cake.
