Description

Ingredients

  • 1.52 lbs (700g–900g) chicken breasts or chicken thighs
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix or 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Optional: chopped green onions or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and ranch or Italian seasoning.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth.
  4. Add the cream cheese on top of the chicken.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours.
  6. Once the chicken is fully cooked, shred it directly in the slow cooker using two forks.
  7. Stir well to combine the chicken with the creamy sauce.
  8. Add shredded cheese and mix until melted and smooth.
  9. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  10. Garnish with green onions or parsley before serving.
