Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp gelatin (powder or equivalent sheets)
- 2 tbsp cold water (for blooming gelatin)
- 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries
- 1–2 tbsp sugar (for topping)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Bloom the gelatin by sprinkling it over cold water and let sit for 5 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, milk, and sugar. Heat gently until sugar dissolves—do not boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into serving glasses or molds.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
- Blend strawberries with sugar and lemon juice until smooth. Strain if desired.
- Spoon strawberry sauce over the set panna cotta.
- Serve chilled.
