Description

Sweet and Salty Rice Krispie Treats are a delicious no-bake dessert combining gooey marshmallow cereal bars with crunchy pretzels, chocolate, and a hint of sea salt. This easy Rice Krispie treats recipe delivers the perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors, making it an irresistible snack for parties, holidays, or everyday cravings.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pretzels (crushed)
  • ¾ cup chocolate chips or chunks
  • ¼ cup caramel bits or caramel sauce (optional)
  • Flaky sea salt (for topping)

Instructions

  • Grease a 9×13-inch pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large pot, melt butter over low heat.
  • Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  • Add Rice Krispies cereal and mix until evenly coated.
  • Fold in crushed pretzels and chocolate chips while mixture is still warm.
  • Transfer mixture to prepared pan and gently press into an even layer.
