Description

Homemade Blue Cheese Dressing is a creamy, tangy, and flavorful dressing made with blue cheese crumbles, mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk. Perfect for salads, buffalo wings, burgers, dips, and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup blue cheese crumbles
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk until smooth.
  • Add lemon juice, white vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  • Fold in the blue cheese crumbles, leaving some chunks for texture if desired.
  • Stir in fresh parsley.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning or consistency by adding more buttermilk if needed.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend.

Notes

For a thicker dip-style dressing, use less buttermilk. For a smoother consistency, blend the dressing briefly in a food processor. The flavor deepens as it chills, making it even better when prepared ahead of time.
