Description
Homemade Blue Cheese Dressing is a creamy, tangy, and flavorful dressing made with blue cheese crumbles, mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk. Perfect for salads, buffalo wings, burgers, dips, and fresh vegetables.
Ingredients
- ½ cup blue cheese crumbles
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup buttermilk
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk until smooth.
- Add lemon juice, white vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
- Fold in the blue cheese crumbles, leaving some chunks for texture if desired.
- Stir in fresh parsley.
- Taste and adjust seasoning or consistency by adding more buttermilk if needed.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend.
Notes
For a thicker dip-style dressing, use less buttermilk. For a smoother consistency, blend the dressing briefly in a food processor. The flavor deepens as it chills, making it even better when prepared ahead of time.
