Ingredients
- 1/2 cup golden syrup
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup sultanas
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tin with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter, golden syrup, and brown sugar until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the syrup mixture, stirring until fully combined.
- Fold in the sultanas evenly.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking tin.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and set on top.
- Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
