Description

Ranch Coleslaw is a creamy, crunchy, and refreshing side dish made with crisp cabbage, carrots, fresh herbs, and a flavorful ranch dressing. Perfect for barbecues, potlucks, sandwiches, and family dinners, this easy homemade coleslaw is always a crowd favorite.

Ingredients

green cabbage
purple cabbage
carrots
ranch dressing
mayonnaise
apple cider vinegar
sugar
celery seeds
salt
black pepper
green onions
fresh parsley

Instructions

  • Thinly shred the green and purple cabbage and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  • Peel and grate the carrots, then add them to the bowl along with chopped green onions and parsley.
  • In a separate small bowl, whisk together ranch dressing, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, celery seeds, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  • Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture.
  • Toss everything together until the vegetables are evenly coated.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend.
  • Stir again before serving and garnish with extra parsley if desired.

Notes

For extra crunch, add sunflower seeds or chopped nuts. Use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise for a lighter version. This coleslaw tastes even better after chilling for several hours. Avoid freezing, as the vegetables may lose their crisp texture.
